Using the Cards

How do I use these cards?

There are so many ways you can use Questions Jesus Asks conversation cards. We created them with three main ways in mind:

• Personal prayer and journaling

• In small groups or as a discipleship tool

• With friends or family

Use them weekly, daily, or as the Spirit leads. There’s no wrong way to engage—just begin.

Do I need to know a lot about the Bible to use these?

Nope! These cards are for everyone—from the spiritually curious to longtime believers. Each question invites reflection, honesty, and connection with Jesus, no matter your background.

Can I use these with kids or teens?

Yes! They work well with teens and are great for youth groups, mentoring, or family conversations. Younger children may need some help understanding or applying the questions.

Are the cards organized or themed?

The cards aren’t sorted by category, but you’ll notice natural themes—identity, trust, calling, healing, and more. Feel free to sort them however works for you, or just pick one at random.

How many cards are in a set?

Each set includes 40 cards (10 questions from each of the four gospels) and can help create a regular rhythm of reflection or group discussion.

What translation did you use?

Most questions are from the New International Version (NIV) for its clarity and faithfulness to the original text. Occasionally, we reference other translations if they better capture the tone or context of Jesus’ words.

Do you offer digital versions?

Not yet! Right now the cards are only available as a printed set. But we’re dreaming about digital tools and journal companions. Subscribe to our newsletter for updates!

Why did you make these? Is using these questions biblical?

Yes—every question comes directly from the Gospels. Jesus asked over 300 questions in His ministry. We believe His questions still speak today, inviting us into deeper relationship, reflection, and transformation.

Why focus on the questions of Jesus?

Jesus didn’t teach only by telling—He invited people to think, wrestle, and respond. His questions weren’t rhetorical; they were relational. They reach across time and still open us to hear His voice in fresh ways.

How did you choose which questions to include?

We prayerfully selected 40 questions (10 from each gospel) that reflect a wide range of themes—identity, fear, trust, purpose, healing, and more. These questions are invitations to conversation, not exams. They’re meant to stir the soul.
